The Rowan Boland 5K and Fun Run took place on Sunday 14th June 2026 in relatively mild and, importantly, dry conditions, making it a great day for running. The event began with a fun run around the park and cricket pitch, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere for all ages.
The 5K race was officially started by local three-time British boxing champion Rosie Swailes, while trophies were presented by this year’s Braw Lad and Lass, Ruaridh Anderson and Chloe Logan.
A big thank you to the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust for organising such a successful and enjoyable community event.
